Have you ever seen the line dancing in movies like Pride & Prejudice or Sense & Sensibility? If so, then you've seen English Country Dancing. At RMCC, twice a year we put on a Ball for the community of Billings, although some people come from long distances to join us.

The RMCC family and friends in the community ages 12 and up, with a limit of 450 people, are invited.

Mandatory rehearsal begins at 9:30 a.m. Dress casual and modest.
Grand March begins at 6:30 p.m. Please follow the dress code and code of conduct.

Fall Ball Fee: $20 per person by October 23 ($25 after this date).  There will be no registrations after November 11.


Spring Ball Fee: $20 per person by April 17, 2009, ($25 after this date) May 5 last day for registrations.  There will be no registrations after May 5.


The Gentleman's Dress Code:
• Dress shirt, (no casual prints allowed); slacks (NO blue jeans), tie, dress socks, and dress shoes
• Tuxedos are welcome, though not required
• We reserve the right to turn away any gentleman dressed inappropriately, without refund.

The Lady's Dress Code:
• Formal dress or skirt, mid-calf or longer (knee length is too short)
• NO strapless tops
• Midriff must be covered; cleavage must be covered
• Gloves are welcome, though not required
• Dress shoes equal to the task of zealous dancing; ballet slippers are welcome
• We reserve the right to turn away any lady dressed inappropriately, without refund

The Gentleman's Code of Conduct:
• The gentleman will ask the lady to dance, not the other way around.
• After the dance, he will escort the lady back to the outer edge of the dance floor.
• A gentleman is encouraged not to dance with a lady more than 2 times, unless he is engaged or married to her.
• Gum is not allowed, although breath mints are welcome.

The Lady's Code of Conduct:
• As she adorns herself with her finery and jewels, the lady needs also to adorn herself with a cheerful, humble spirit.
• The lady may politely decline a gentleman's offer to dance, without explanation.
• Gum is not allowed, although breath mints are welcome.

To avoid embarrassment, please note that spectators will be allowed in the dance hall if they have registered (same fees apply) and that they follow the above dress code and sign the registration form. Due to the large number of participants, we cannot guarantee space availability for spectators if they have not signed up with these deadlines in mind.
