Fellowship
The Fellowship Ministry purposes to nurture and encourage the members and friends of Rocky Mountain Community Church in areas of fellowship and community that center on kingdom life within the body of believers. It offers opportunities to bring unbelievers into our fellowship and to be a testimony to them of our Lord Jesus Christ in a variety of settings.
Let us not give up meeting together...but let us encourage one another— and all the more as you see the Day approaching (Hebrews 10:25).
Our Fellowship Ministry includes the following areas:
Coffee ministry—Please join us for a cup of coffee after the worship service! The Coffee Ministry provides the atmosphere and occasion for people to linger after the worship service to connect relationally—either by catching up with old friends or by meeting new friends. Coffee is available down the hallway in front of the kitchen before Sunday School and after the worship service.
Men’s Breakfast— As spiritual heads of home, our monthly men’s ministry is aimed at developing our spiritual disciplines. Men’s Breakfast is a time of good food, study, and prayer for men who are served a hot breakfast prepared by our women the third Saturday of September, October, and January through April.
Christmas Brunch—Our ladies’ annual brunch meets the first Saturday of December celebrating the coming holiday season with exquisite table settings, delicious food, a practical decorating feature, door prizes, singing, and an encouraging Scripture-filled speaker. This event is served to the women in the church by the men of RMCC.
Showers & Farewells—This important ministry organizes all baby and wedding showers and farewell receptions. These special events will be listed in the Weekly Announcements at least two Sundays before they occur.
Dinners for Eight—This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know others in the church in a regular, friendly, and warm atmosphere. Twice a year (September and February) adults may sign up for a four-month commitment to dine once a month in groups of eight (four couples or singles) either in each other’s homes or at a restaurant.
Dinner & Testimony—This youth event meets quarterly in someone’s home. The youth enjoy outdoor games, good food, singing, and a testimony by one of the adults of RMCC who share what God has done in their life.
Wedding Ministry—At Rocky Mountain Community Church, we rejoice when our members get married. We embrace weddings as a ministry of the church. We desire to not only serve and guide you throughout the planning and culminating celebration, but also bring honor to our Lord Jesus Christ. Please see our Guidelines for getting married at RMCC.
Softball—Interested in softball? Each springtime, we break out our gloves and bats for a season of recreational softball. RMCC fields two teams: one men’s team and one co-ed team. A huge number of fans make up a third team from the bleachers.
Flock Lunches—The first Sunday of the month, the Sunday we celebrate the Lord’s Supper, RMCC offers a lunch after the worship service for newcomers and guests. Each elder of RMCC is assigned a “flock” of people to care for, and each month a different flock volunteers to host this lunch. If you are new to RMCC, please stay for lunch. We’d love to get to know you better.
Membership Picnic—Around the end of June we celebrate Membership Sunday where people are joined to our RMCC family. After the worship service, we gather together at a city park for a picnic. What a joyous celebration we have rejoicing as God’s family.
Seasonal Events—A continental breakfast is served Easter morning as we celebrate our risen Savior. Christmas Eve is a special time of worship celebrating the birth of our Savior. Please join us for these and other seasonal fellowship events.
