For Men
Men's Prayer Triads-Men gather in groups of three to meet regularly for prayer and encouragement. Geneva by the Yellowstone-GBY stands for Geneva by the Yellowstone. Geneva was the leading city of the Reformed wing of the Protestant Reformation. 2 Timothy 2:2,15 frames our group's goal and purpose: "And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others...Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth." Led by Pastor Alfred, GBY is a gathering of young men in the church (20-30s) for the purpose of studying Reformed theology in a more systematic way thereby providing a foundation for faith and practice for future leaders of the church. We meet as a group once a month on the third Sunday of the month for about three to four hours. We begin with a common meal and then discuss and comment on our assigned reading. We also meet in small groups once during the month for accountability and prayer. |
